We invite all members and regular attendees of Harvest to participate in ministries at Harvest this fall. Walk Groups are a wonderful opportunity to connect and fellowship with others while also growing in your own personal walk with the Lord.

We have a number of group opportunities for all ages.  To get more information on any of these groups, please contact Pastor Wayne Veenstra at wayne.veenstra@harvestopc.org.

This class, taught by Pastor Dale, aims to instruct students in sound doctrine, prepare them to respond to opposition to the Christian faith, and to challenge students to gladly embrace the Reformed faith and to worship God as he has revealed himself in the Scriptures. This year, students will be studying Christian Beliefs by Wayne Grudem.

Other important character development and life skills are encouraged through activities that involve teamwork and leadership.

Our young ladies are taught to know and believe that the promises of God are for them, and that youth is no barrier to knowing Christ and serving Him and His people. Girls experience the joy and fellowship of the body of Christ through regular Bible study and cross-generational interactions with women of the church. We will be studying Psalms this year in parallel with the women's ministry Bible studies.

Girls of Grace is led by Suzanne Winter and Rita Kubinski.

Anchored Youth Group

Harvest's Anchored Youth Group is for all 9th-12th grade students and meets two Sunday evenings a month for Christ-centered fellowship as a community of young people seeking to know and proclaim who Christ is and what He is doing in our lives. We desire to encourage and support one another in our walk of faith as each one of us is in a different spot. During our time together on Sunday evenings we will eat, sing, fellowship and study together. We also enjoy in other regular activities to grow together.

LOVE & TRUTH

Real Change Study

Every honest Christian knows the need for change. But how to get there? How do you move forward from struggles both big and small? And how does our faith in God impact our everyday thoughts, feelings, and actions? This small group will give participants an opportunity to reflect on one particular area in their lives and then learn more about how God changes us to become more like Jesus. All of us struggle to love God and those around us, but God has promised to keep working on us. And God always keeps his promises. The change that his gospel produces will make your life and your relationships truly beautiful.

This group will meet on Wednesdays from 12:00-1:30 PM at Harvest from October 12 through November 30.

Profound Mystery Book Club

Inspired by the conviction that God created sexual intimacy in marriage to be joy-filled, life-giving, and mutually fulfilling, this women’s book study group exists to provide a place for women to come together to equip one another to work alongside their husbands to sanctify, enrich, and deepen the sexual intimacy in their marriages. Whether you are feeling clueless at the outset of married life or are afraid that the intimacy in your marriage is stagnating or even on life support, this group is for you. We will begin our time together by reading and discussing The Great Sex Rescue by Sheila Wray Gregoire. Due to the personal nature of this group, all conversations will be confidential.

This group will meet on 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Thursdays from 7:00-8:30 PM at Harvest, beginning on October 13.

Side-By-Side Wives Group

Side by Side Wives Group is a group for wives whose husbands are battling sexual sin.  When sexual unfaithfulness impacts a marriage, both spouses need specific care and help.  Our ministry to wives provides encouragement and support for women who need comfort, wisdom, and hope as they face this painful experience.  This confidential group provides a safe, grace-filled place to help women move forward in healing.  The group utilizes various books for discussion, along with Scripture, all with the aim of learning how to apply the gospel in a woman’s specific marital circumstances.

This confidential group meets on 2nd & 4th Tuesdays and is led by Heidi Friend.
