ENGAGE: Bullying & Suicide
February 10, 2021
7:00pm – 8:30pm
Many believe that bullying is just a fact of life that teens need to learn to ignore it. The problem is that these situations often have lasting repercussions, could be quite severe and could even lead to suicide in some cases. Bullying can take a significant emotional toll on a teenager, and with technology, the ability to escape it may feel impossible. The despair and meaninglessness that kids often experience in these hard situations can lead to suicidal thoughts and behaviors.
In this session, we will discuss what it might look like to talk with your kids about the realities of bullying and suicide. We will also explore some ways to tell if a teen is experiencing these things, and what to do if they are. As Christians, we want to walk with our children in their pain and suffering as God does with us, finding His help and hope in the midst of it.
