Fellowship

The focus of Christian fellowship must be the blessing God intended it to be, which is going beyond “being friendly” to experiencing a deep, sacrificial love for one another. “By this all men will know that you are my disciples if you love one another.” John 13:35

The Fellowship Ministry Team works to encourage Harvest members to grow in the sincerity and depth of its fellowship.  The team seeks ways to assimilate new members, highlight opportunities for loving service in the body, and plan several events each year to help the congregation grow in love and unity.

Family Camp

Our 2011 OPC Family Camp will be held the week of August 8-12 at Camp Concordia in Gowen, MI.  Dr. Joel R.  Beeke, professor of systematic theology and homiletics at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary, will be our main speaker this year.  He will speak on the most practical and helpful of all Christian activities – the joys of prayer.  It could change your life so don’t miss it!

We also spend time Monday evening through Friday morning together worshiping, learning, laughing and encouraging one another during meal time, free time, organized speakers, entertainment, and around the camp fire.  Please consider joining the committee – we could use a lot more help!

Sunday School Picnic

This year the Sunday School picnic was held at Creekside Park in Cutlerville. Kathy VanDorp, Marit Manning, Trish Bekkering and Laura VanDelden made up this year’s subcommittee. If you did not go you missed a great time!

Helping Hands Ministry

Helping Hands, organized by Trish Bekkering, arranges meals for those who are sick, recovering from surgery, new mothers and other needs. We are grateful to all those who have provided a meals without hesitation.  It is joy to call on you and serve in this way!
